A phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some sources, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion. I do believe that we can all be a Phoenix if we prove to ourselves and others that we can rise up to the challenge. My dad has proven time and time again that he is a Phoenix.

If someone is going down the wrong path in life, and then changes their path and it changes said persons life for the better, then they are a phoenix.
