Someone who puts others wants, needs, and interests before their own. One who says "us/we" instead of "you". A leader has respect for themselves and those they lead, have integrity, and they give their best in everything they do.
To me, leadership is being able to guide people on the right track. Being able to show people how to do tasks for THEIR best interest. Helping and assisting them to everyone's ultimate goal...SUCCESS.
Leadership is the first key to success. Everyone has a different view of success, whether it be to get a job, accomplish a task, etc. If you lead someone on the right path, eventually, they will get their ultimate success. It may just be the journey, but they will receive wonderful emotions due to YOU helping them out and guiding them through whatever they had to do, even if it didn't go as planned. So yes, I do think that proper leadership will eventually lead you and them to some form of success.
For me I've had many amazing people. Everyday, one of my friends checks on me to see how I'm doing in school and asks me about my day. She helps me when I'm stressed and unhappy and celebrates with me when I'm happy about something.
I know how you feel. I too have friends, close friends that do care a lot about me. I like to feel that I am that person to many of my friends as well. I've helped many people through many challenges. A leader is not only to lead, but also to know when they have lost and to even need to follow.
when i came up with this definition i thought of an activist and how they really had to stand up for the rights of African Americans and the black community as a whole.

My personal definition of leadership is that they have the ability to lead as well as motivate and engage others with a certain vision. Leadership can also have the ability of searching for a solution to a problem.
I agree with this definition and I like it as well! I agree because in this definition you think of others and not just yourself. What happens when a person disagrees with your decision or choice?
