  1. Yes, the word legal comes from laws that make sure the society is kept from going berserk and ending a dangerous place, however being ethical is what you yourself believe is right or wrong.

  2. I think there is a difference between what is legal and what is ethical. Ethics are a grey area depending on your point of view. However, what is legal is a black and white scenario.

  3. I think the difference between them is one is rules to keep everyone safe, and it goes for everyone. and the other is your own rules.

  5. Yes, the main difference is that something ethical is what you should do but may not be legally accepted. Something legal would be only going by the law and not if it's truly right or wrong. - Matthew Yocom

  6. There is a difference between legal and ethical. Legal is what is permitted by law and ethical is what's right and what's wrong. You can be doing the wrong thing but whatever you are doing can still be legal. But there is also a similarity because you are expected to do the right thing, however, you may not choose to do it.

  7. I believe there is a difference but both should almost work in harmony to make the workplace or any place efficient and beneficial to the emotional and professional of the employs or people that are involved. Legal is what your allowed to do and not but should not push people to do things they do not find morally right.

  10. There is a difference between legal and ethical but not a big difference. legal means to follow the rules, ethical means to choose between right and wrong. A persons ethics describes who they are more than the word legal. Ethics is about morals and making the right or wrong choices.

  12. Ethics come from within a person’s moral sense and desire to preserve his self respect. It is not as strict as laws. Laws are meant to help regulate society, and punishments for breaking them can be harsh and sometimes even break ethical standards.

  16. There is a small difference between legal and ethical. Ethical can vary from person to person, but legal is the same for everyone. Some people's ethics may go hand and hand with the law though.
